Our Learning Commons PoliCies
The Library Learning Commons promotes reading and digital literacy for students. We aim to promote academic and recreational reading. We provide access to books and resources that foster the development of information literacy skills and independent life-long learners. The Library Media Specialist provides a flexible schedule and collaborates with teachers in order to integrate literature and technology into learning activities for students.

Checkout Guidelines
Fines/Lost or Damaged Fees
Students are not charged fines for overdue books. They are encouraged to be considerate of others by returning books on time, or earlier. If a book is lost, the student will be expected to pay the replacement cost of the book. Our average cost for a library bound book is $18.00. The replacement cost/fine may be lesser or greater depending on the actual cost of the book. Books that are returned damaged will be assessed individually. Fees for lost or damaged materials must be paid before the student will be allowed to check out additional library materials.

- Kindergarten students may check out 1 book at a time.
- 1st – 5th Grade students may checkout 2 books at a time.
(Intermediate grades may checkout an additional book for research with teacher permission.) - Students may keep books for up to 2 weeks.
- Students who have an overdue book will not be allowed to check out another book until the overdue book is returned or paid for.
